Job Title: Test Publisher
Reports To: Test Production Manager
Location: Canton Office & Virtual – Baltimore, MD

JOB OVERVIEW

The Test Publisher is responsible for the construction of high quality examinations that will give our candidates the best possible testing experience. The ideal candidate will be able to balance multiple projects at once, consult with clients, maintain documentation of our examinations, and provide troubleshooting support as needed. Organization and strong communication skills are necessary to succeed in this position, and the ability to write and edit HTML code is required

LOCATION

This position requires working in the Baltimore location part-time and part-time virtual weekly.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
  • Good communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills: detail oriented, flexible and thorough.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at once, being able to transition from one task to another while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Capable of scoping out and assessing requirements of new projects.
  • Proficient in the English language, including grammar, semantics, and pragmatics.
  • Experience in proofreading is a bonus!
  • Skilled with troubleshooting technical problems.
  • Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while keeping to all schedules.
  • Strong understanding of programming languages and concepts.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite of software.
  • Prior experience in software development project management atmosphere.
  • Prior QC/QA experience is a bonus.
Job Description
  • Publish computer-based and paper-based examinations.
  • Participate in the design and implementation of test production plans, including requirements definition and scheduling as appropriate.
  • Design, construct and test client examinations; assure accuracy and quality of finished product.
  • Troubleshoot software and operational problems; provide support to clients and client services on software and technical issues; special projects as assigned.
  • Verify functionality of tests; design testing strategies for complex delivery or scoring methods.
  • Audit tests for typographical errors, formatting errors, inconsistencies, and other quality problems, and clearly communicate quality issues.
TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE
  • Strong grasp of XML, HTML5, and CSS3 web design standards. Possessing the ability to read, create, and edit HTML is a must.
  • Experience in web development languages such as JavaScript and VB Script is preferred.
  • Familiar with Team Foundation Server and Visual Studios 2012.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications.
